Facial treatments seem to me like a form or relaxing ritual combined with the benefits of fixing my facial chaos. So whenever I get the opportunity to try something new I scream, "SIGN ME UP"

I spent consultation day trying to decide what type of of facial to sign up for at the spa... Everything sounded so intriguing [deep cleansing facial,deep hydration facial, anti-aging facial, oily/acne skin treatment facial, clay facial]

Sounds like music to my adventurous ears! I heard niacinamide, collagen, ocean algae extracts, facial massage, enzyme mask,hydroxy acids, hyaluronic acid, and I was jumping in excitement! YES RADIANCE... KEEP A SEAT FOR ME AT THE BLINDING GLOW TABLE!

But now the big question... "VACUUM PORE EXTRACTION OR MANUAL EXTRACTION?

For anyone looking to unclog their pores, a good extraction can be very beneficial for your skin. Before we go all in, let's touch a few basis.

WHAT ARE EXTRACTIONS?

An extraction is literally "exhuming" dirts, oils, makeup, sweat, excesses sebum and all the stored up gunks inside your pores. Although our body's sebaceous glands produces this oily substance called Sebum which helps protect your skin, over production of this substance could lead to acne and blackheads and/or whiteheads.

VACUUM EXTRACTION VS MANUAL EXTRACTION?

When you visit a spa for your facial treatment, you need to ask what method is going to be used and be upfront about your fears and concerns. For me, manual extraction is a no-go area!

The process of extraction usually involves using professional tools to either apply suction (vacuum extraction) or to press around a clogged pore to release what's inside (manual extraction).

However, with manual extraction a lot of things could go wrong! If not done properly you could definitely end up with the opposite result you were aiming for; scarring, inflammations, infections, pushing the bacteria deeper into your skin hence MORE BREAKOUTS!
